Engage with an expert. Don’t take shortcuts, you don’t go to Burger King and expect a Michelin star meal.
You can never over communicate, keep the journey fun and moving. We are seeing far too many clients slowing or halting the process which is resulting in candidates getting snapped up. This does not mean skip parts in the recruitment process, it’s more around communicating why the process has slowed down and keeping communication channels open. It’s your company brand and reputation in the market
Be Flexible. If you’re looking for a unicorn to tick all the boxes then you will be recruiting the same role in 12months in this market. Can you train some aspects or tweak the position a little when you find someone that fits 80% of the competencies and fits your team environment?
Don’t wait for 3 CV’s all at once as this could take 3 weeks and the candidate at the beginning of the process could be snapped up in week two, be flexible with interview times or even start the process with a phone chat to get the candidate onboard, excited and learning about the business in the meantime.
